Someone In The Dark
Someone in the Dark is a play by Tracey Rigney, commissioned in 2021 by Black Hole Theatre and premiered at the Nati Frinj Biennale in October 2022. Tracey, a Wotjobaluk and Ngarrindjeri woman, is an acclaimed film maker from Dimboola with a wicked sense of humour. Someone in the Dark is a fun, immersive, interactive experience for young audiences that takes them into a malleefowl’s mound where they meet a young rap loving chick called Mallee and a lost baby echidna called Puggle. Puppets and audience together encounter strange critters that could be scary – or maybe just lunch! Together they learn to confront their fears, work together, and find their way into the day.
