Someone in the Dark is a new play by Tracey Rigney, commissioned in 2020 by Black Hole Theatre.  It had its first creative development in Natimuk in October 2021. Tracey is an acclaimed film maker, a Wotjobaluk and Ngarrindjeri woman from Dimboola, also a parent of a young daughter, and writes with a wicked sense of humour. Someone in the Dark is an immersive, interactive experience for a young audience that takes them into a malleefowl’s mound where they meet a young (unhatched) chick Mallee who does not want to go into the outside world. She is accidentally “hatched” by a lost echidna Puggle, and together with the audience they gradually emerge after overcoming hurdles and facing down fears.  It will premiere at Nati Frinj 2022!
