Black Hole Theatre acknowledges that across Australia we live and work on the unceded sovereign lands of First Nations and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and thank them for sharing their culture and for the care they have given to our land, water, and the air we breathe.

Real 2 Reel

Black Hole Theatre stirs the creative pot across genres and generations. In 2010, during the Easter holidays, we brought video artists together with Year 11 students from St Albans HighSchool to write, shoot, perform and edit their own short film, Girl in the River, a ghost story set around the Maribyrnong River and Willsmere Castle in Kew. That was followed by Soul Catcher in 2011 and Death by Numbers in 2012 - two films again wholly written, shot, performed and edited by students as part of a summer program run by La Trobe University. They were both purposely devised around the grounds of the uni.
