Black Hole Theatre acknowledges that across Australia we live and work on the unceded sovereign lands of First Nations and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and thank them for sharing their culture and for the care they have given to our land, water, and the air we breathe.

Online Workshops for Adults and Teachers

At Black Hole Theatre we make visual design-based theatre with puppets and objects operated by live performers.

It’s an exciting and ever-changing medium and one that works in many circumstances. Puppetry has ever been the ‘theatre of the impossible’ – telling stories to small audiences in homes, on street corners and even outside in gardens and parks.

As we have all become physically isolated, in the spirit of our medium, Black Hole artists have been planning a series of online workshops that can be delivered to teachers for online classroom sessions, and/or directly to families, kids, and adults who are looking for activities to enrich home life.

We hope to have some segments available within the next few weeks to be useful for Term 2 curriculum inclusion as well as the first few short sessions for individual access.
