Richard, a professor of literature, reveals Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and Richard III as never seen before. Ordinary objects become extraordinary characters who struggle with life, death, love, and the quest for power. Their dreams and struggles spring from Shakespeare, but become our own as we engage with a would-be hero on a motorbike, an Italian bon vivant, and a butcher (all played by Georis). We laugh and weep, and finally understand why Shakespeare is so rich. Richard has been acclaimed around the globe, delighted audiences who never read Shakespeare, reaching out to adults and youth alike.
